Formé à l'école des beaux Arts de Toulon au milieu des années 1950
dans la permanance d'une école de peinture provençale,

il expose son travail jusque dans les années 1960.
Ce n'est qu'en 1994, qu'il revient à son premier amour! La PEINTURE.
Dés lors il enchaîne les expositions dans la région, mais aussi en Allemagne.
Artiste de l'Entre-Deux, Chantemesse regarde vers le Pop-Art,

tout en s'inscrivant pleinement dans le mouvement de la figuration Narrative,

s'inspirant du réel le plus prosaïque,de la société de consommation,

des faits divers, de la publicité, des photos de magasines...

entrainant une réelle fusion entreArt et vie quotidienne.

De la figuration Narrative,il garde la violence du coloris, mais en utilise

égalementles techniques passant de l'acrylique à la peinture à l'huile,

au collage et à la récupération, maîtrisant tout aussi bien

les aplats les plus suaves que les empattements matiéristes.
